Thirty days hath caught us off guard, so we failed to remember to download Hmm Daily’s full April allotment of Associated Press photographs before May arrived, to present to our readers in our customary end-of-month gallery post . We apologize for allowing the monthly photo quota to expire without delivering you, the readers, the maximum amount of content per dollar. But our desire to share visual material transcends mere dollar incentives, so rather than making you wait till the end of May for the next themed image gallery, we present an alternative collection of photographs, courtesy of the United States government, on the theme of ABANDONMENT.
