This would have been a good place to link to the profile of the branding-and-technology prophet/promoter that Maria Bustillos (now of Popula) wrote for Details four years ago, but the Details brand is dead now and the URL just redirects to the GQ homepage. Yet Shingy endures, and yesterday, the advertising department at Oath (motto retrieved by Google: “Build brands people love”) sent a mass email to the company, linking to Shingy’s “8 Takeaways From Advertising Week New York.” From the writeup of those 8 takeaways, we took a dozen words.
